Our Story
About Vagai Silambam
Silambam is one of the oldest martial arts in Tamil Nadu. The administration around it should not be the hard part.
Why it exists
Most academies run on paper registers and spreadsheets kept on a phone. Attendance gets copied twice, fees go uncollected because nobody noticed, and a student's grading history lives in a WhatsApp thread. Software built for schools does not fit: there are no classes, subjects or exam marks here — there are batches, gradings, weapons, and tournaments.
How it was built
It started as an offline Android app for one academy, tested at real training sessions before anything was commercialized. Features arrived because an instructor needed them on the mat — marking a full batch present in one tap, bilingual student names in English and தமிழ், and tracking who still owes this month's training fee. The cloud web version followed for administrative work.
What we care about
Your records belong to you: photos and certificates go to your own Google Drive, attendance to your own Sheet, and you can export everything at any time. We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not delete an academy's history because a subscription lapsed.
